New on CaseTrace: Case of the Day Is Now on the Homepage

Every missing-person case deserves more than one moment of attention.

That is one of the reasons we built the new Case of the Day feature on the CaseTrace homepage. Each day, visitors can now find a highlighted missing-person case right from the front page of the app, making it easier to pause, learn the basic details, view the flyer, and share it with others.

CaseTrace was built around a simple mission:

Share the flyer. Check the source. Avoid rumors.

The Case of the Day feature helps put that mission into action.

Where to Find Case of the Day

When you visit the CaseTrace homepage, you will now see a featured case section near the top of the page. This section highlights one missing-person case and gives users a quick path to view more details.

From there, users can:

View the case flyer Read available case details Check the listed source information Share the case on social media Help keep the person’s name and face visible

The goal is not to overwhelm people. The goal is to make one case easier to see, easier to understand, and easier to share responsibly.

Why Older Cases Still Matter

Many missing-person cases receive attention when they are first reported. There may be local news coverage, community posts, flyers, and search efforts. But over time, public attention often fades.

That does not mean the case is no longer important.

Families are still waiting. Investigators may still need information. Someone may still remember something. A person who saw a post years ago may not have realized its importance until seeing the case again.

That is why sharing older cases matters.

A case that is five, ten, twenty, or even thirty years old can still reach the right person. Long-term missing-person cases are sometimes solved after years of silence. People are found. Remains are identified. New leads come in. Old information gets reexamined. Technology improves. Someone finally speaks up.

Visibility can still matter, even after a long time.

Every Share Helps Keep a Case Alive

Sharing a missing-person flyer does not have to be complicated. You do not need to speculate, investigate, or add rumors. In fact, responsible sharing means doing the opposite.

A simple share can say:

“Still missing. Please view and share the flyer. Check the source before commenting.”

That is enough.

The goal is awareness, not speculation. CaseTrace is not built to turn cases into entertainment. It is built to help missing-person cases stay visible in a way that is respectful to families, useful to communities, and grounded in source information.

Why Case of the Day Matters

The Case of the Day feature gives people one small, meaningful action they can take each day.

One case. One flyer. One share. One chance to reach someone new.

Not everyone has time to search through thousands of cases. But many people can take a few seconds to view and share one featured case.

That small action can help bring attention back to someone who may have been forgotten by the public, but never by the people who love them.

Built for Responsible Awareness

CaseTrace is continuing to build tools that make missing-person awareness easier, safer, and more respectful. The Case of the Day feature is one more step toward that goal.

We believe old cases still deserve attention. We believe long-term missing people still deserve visibility. We believe sharing should be responsible, source-based, and human.

Visit the CaseTrace homepage each day to view the featured case, share the flyer, and help keep missing-person cases seen.

Share the flyer. Check the source. Avoid rumors.
