Girly was last seen on 09/09/1999. She failed to show up for work at Bank of America the following day at which time her coworkers contacted law enforcement. Evidence of a struggle was found at Girly's apartment. Some of her personal effects were located along US Route 60, just west of Magdalena, and her purse was found in the middle of an Albuquerque street. Girly's husband and his associate have been charged with Girly's murder and kidnapping as well as additional associated charges but Girly's remains have never been found.
