Long Duong was last seen fishing on a rock at Bodega Head beach on January 31, 1998. While fishing, he is believed to have been hit by a thirteen foot wave and swept out to sea. A two day search of the Pacific Ocean failed to turn up any signs of him; Long is believed to have drowned at sea. At the time of his disappearance, Long had lived in Santa Rosa, CA for about ten years and was not married. He was employed by G&G Supermarket in Santa Rosa and worked in the meat department.
