The last contact with Frank Leone and his wife, Romina Leone (MP21177), was on June 18, 2003 at approximately noon when they were seen by their roommate at their residence. The Leones were taking their boat, a 16 ft Searay, out on a one-day local boating/fishing trip. This was the first outing with the boat and the vessel may not have been seaworthy. It is believed they had no marine radio or floating devices. There were extensive searches by the Coast Guard and marine units. The Leone's vehicle and boat trailer were never retrieved from the boat ramp in Lantana, FL.
