Summary
Lawrence Theodore Rediess was traveling on the SS V.A. Fogg when the ship exploded approximately 30-50 miles out at sea. Searches were conducted by the Coast Guard and approximately 11 days into the search, divers found remains of some of the ship's passengers. An empty life raft and life preserver were also reportedly recovered. Lawrence Rediess has been declared legally deceased, but his remains have not been recovered/identified.
