David Mekvold arrived at work at Standard Insurance as usual on 12/27/2010 and worked at least until 1:00 p.m. His wife spoke to him on the phone at 1:30 p.m. that day, and they had a normal conversation. David has not been heard of or seen since that time. An employee at Standard Insurance noticed that David's lunch was uneaten and in the garbage can near his cubicle, and his personal items had been removed from the work area. His truck was found the next day, 12/28/2010 in a wooded, secluded area in Skamania County, Washington state.
