Summary
Mr. Girou was reported missing on 6/17/1975 by his son who came by the residence to take his parents out for Father's Day. No one was home. Vehicles were in the garage, keys, wallet, and money were in the bedroom. Mr. Girou's dog was in the backyard without food or water. A teenage daughter claimed that her parents left the morning of the 11th to go to a funeral. Mr. Girou supposedly placed a 38 cal. Smith and Wesson revolver in his waistband prior to leaving. Mr. Girou and his wife supposedly entered a green colored limousine and drove off. Investigators searched the sewers in the neighborhood, dug up the yard where Mr. Girou had a garden and also dug up a piece of land which the Mr. Girou and his wife had purchased to build their retirement home. Mr. Girou and his wife have never been seen again.
