Walter was last seen July 16, 2009, while boating with friends on the Mississippi River at the 141 MM near Crystal City, MO. Witnesses reported a sudden thunderstorm developed and said Walter fell overboard, possibly due to a lightning strike. It is unknown if he made it to shore.
