Fulton was on a trip with friend, had a disagreement, and the friend told Fulton he wouldn't give him a ride home, just out of Winnemucca, NV, from the rest area (possibly the Valmy rest area). Fulton apparently got into a vehicle with stranger(s) and his phone tracked his location heading towards Elko. His debit card was used for fuel at a gas station just outside of Elko. Fulton's family received a text from him at 9:29 am Nevada time saying that his friend wouldn't give him a ride home so he guessed he would have to find another way home. That was the last time he texted or called anyone.
