Matthews was experiencing homelessness and lives in the camp a few miles from the family home. He was checked on regularly by family. The family was unable to locate him and went to his camp. His belongings were still there but he was not been located. Multiple searches of the wooded area did not locate him. He did not have a phone or vehicle.
