The family reports that Elvira crossed from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico into the United States in the vicinity of Laredo, Webb County, Texas on or about February 27, 2022, and that they have not had any contact with them afterward. The reporting party claims that people in the group in which Elvira was traveling told family members that she had been left behind in the desert because she had a hard time continuing with the walk.
