The MP left for work and did not return home. Weeks later the MP's vehicle was recovered abandoned in the city of Carlsbad. Several days later, the MP's belongings (pants, wallet and keys) were found in a field near a the Buena Vista lagoon in Carlsbad. A search and rescue was conducted, however the MP was never found.
