On 8/24/2021, Torna Morales was on the commercial vessel named, "Big Foot." The vessel was anchored, near Marquesa Key. Torna Morales jumped into the water and started to swim away from the boat. Crewmembers threw the vessels life ring directly at Torna Morales, however he made no attempt to grab the life ring and he quickly swam away from the vessel and disappeared into the darkness.
