On February 24, 1987, MP William Michael Cody, a flight instructor, met with student at Santa Monica Airport. They boarded the aircraft, a Piper Seminola twin engine turbo built in 1981, tail No. N8307H. The aircraft is saddleback color with red stripes. Flight last recorded over Pacific Ocean. United States Coast Guard searched 67 square miles of ocean. No debris from aircraft or bodies have been recovered.
