Douglas and two other males were last seen on 05/21/1984 when they left the mouth of the Kasilof River in their boat, Minnie Mine, to check their halibut skates, which were located close to a buoy approximately 2 miles from the river mouth. Debris was located in the area. The bodies of the other males were located, but searches of the area were unsuccessful in locating Douglas.
