Eugene was last seen on 01/12/1988 during a boating accident in the area of Geese Island near Old Harbor in Kodiak. He was on board with two other crewmen who were located deceased. Debris from the fishing vessel was located, but earches of the area were unsuccessful in locating Eugene.
