Summary
Sheridan Stringer fell overboard in a boat in the Gastineau Channel. He was a passenger in a small boat that overturned in the water, near the breakwater of Aurora Harbor. There were five passengers in the boat when it overturned. Three of the passengers made it to shore safely. USCG conducted a search and rescue of the water for Sheridan and another passenger, James Cole, but they were not located. The partial remains of James Cole were located in 2020, near Whale Park in Juneau.
