On the night of 2/24/1983 victim spent the night at his girlfriend's apartment. Victim left the girlfriend's apartment on the morning of 2/25/1983 to go to his home in southeast Wichita to change clothes and then go look for a job as he had overslept and missed his morning classes at Wichita State University. There is no indication the victim ever made it to his home and his yellow, 1974 Chevrolet van was found just after midnight on 2/25/1983 abandoned and on fire at a car wash on the south end of Augusta, Kansas. Any and all family members of Manouchehr Nafar are requested to please contact law enforcement in hopes of a DNA sample being collected for comparison purposes.
