Relatives of Ronnie Douglas Sutton, 48, last saw or heard from him Oct. 14, 2012 and said he had been depressed. A neighbor witnessed Ronnie leaving home at approximately midnight in his vehicle on Oct. 18, 2012. A family member went to the residence with a spare key to check on Ronnie Oct. 19, 2012 and found his medications and phone sitting on the counter. Ronnie was entered NCIC as a missing person. On the same day Ronnie was reported missing, his pickup, a charcoal gray 1994 Nissan was found at the Sheets Gap Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is approximately 128 miles from Ronnie's home which is over 2 hours away. The missing person was not located with the vehicle and a collaboration of efforts between multiple jurisdictions and law enforcement agencies with Search and Rescue searched the area a number of times.
