Three separate boats left for a fishing trip at 0600 hours (6AM) on November 8, 2016, from the Sandwich Marina in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The trio transited across Cape Cod Bay, which is approximately 26 miles. Once across, they began fishing in and around Race Point, which is at the tip of Cape Cod. Around 1400 hours (2PM), two of the boats, which were fishing in close proximity to each other, decided to head back to the Sandwich Marina. They began looking for the third boat without success. The three individuals aboard have not been seen or heard from since November 8, 2016, at approximately 1000 hours (10AM).
