MP was last seen by her boyfriend as she walked from their residence at Pomo RV Park in Fort Bragg, California. When she had not returned home late that evening her boyfriend reported her missing and police launched searches. The following day a person who lived next to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, noticed someone matching the MP description trespassing down a trail to the beach on their property. Blood hounds traced the scent to the beach, where MP's pants were found in the water.
