At the time he was living with his wife of just under a year. In 2010, she was charged with first-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of second-degree murder and admitted to shooting her husband while he was in bed asleep, cutting the body into pieces and disposing of the body.
