According to investigative interviews BARRETT left the residence she shared with another individual at noon on July 19, 2007, which was the last known time she was seen alive. On that date it is believed that she may have traveled with a person of interest in or to an area southwest of Colorado Springs specifically to include Highway 24, Highway 42 and the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. She was thought to be riding in a dark green 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing Colorado license plates PBE6081, which had been borrowed from a friend.
