Jody was traveling from Lawrenceville, Georgia to Pontiac, Michigan to visit her cousin. Her route was I-75 northbound. The cousin states Jody called from Erie, Ohio (may be Erie, MI, just across state line) to say she was lost. Jody's car was found burned on the morning of 5/29/1994 near the intersection of Turk Rd and Consear Rd in Ottawa Lake, MI, which is just off US-23. Authorities determined that her car was set ablaze some time after 10 pm on 5/28/1994. Jody has not been seen or heard from again.
