On the evening of June 26, 2025, Melissa Casias was reported missing by her husband. On the morning of June 26, 2025, Melissa and her husband traveled to work together. After dropping her husband off at work, Melissa returned to their residence in Taos, NM, where their daughter saw her. Later that day, Melissa took their daughter lunch and was not seen again by any relatives. On June 26, 2025, at approximately 2:19 pm, an eyewitness reported seeing Melissa walking east on NM Highway 518 near Forrest Road 437. This was the last sighting reported of Melissa Casias. Air and ground searches were conducted in the area where Melissa was last seen, extending from the Forest Road 437 area to the Pot Creek area, yielding no findings. Investigators found all of Melissa’s belongings still at her residence. Melissa was last seen wearing blue jeans, a burgundy sweater tied around her waist, a light-colored T-shirt, and a black backpack.
