Ms. Easland was reported missing by a friend on 7/2/1980 under the alias Karen Lee Baunsgard. The claimant advised that she and her friends had not heard from or seen Ms. Easland since the afternoon of 6/28/1980, when Ms. Easland was supposed to meet an unknown male on 4th Avenue in downtown Anchorage. Ms. Easland had been staying at the Budget Motel on Spenard Road in Anchorage with her boyfriend for the previous two weeks. Ms. Easland was described as a white female adult, between 23 to 25 years of age. She was reported as being between 5’2” to 5’4” tall, and between 90 to 105 pounds, with medium complexion, shoulder-length straight brown hair and brown eyes. She has a birth mark on the top of her right thigh, and a birth mark on the top of her shoulder. She was reported to occasionally wear wire-framed glasses. Ms. Easland was last seen wearing a short, brown leather coat with a fur collar, pants, and black high heeled boots. It is believed that Ms. Easland is a victim of serial killer Robert C. Hansen.
