James Albert Boyd

James Albert Boyd was last seen on February 6, 1987 at a local bank, just prior to leaving for a scheduled trip to South Africa. A few days later Tampa bank employees telephoned police when Steven W. White posed as Boyd and tried to withdraw money from the victim’s bank accounts. On February 12, 1987, detectives located a crime scene at 1831 Nebraska Avenue NE which indicated the Boyd had been killed inside of his residence. Steven W. White was later arrested for the homicide of Boyd. He was sentenced to life in prison for first degree murder. James Boyd’s body never has been found.
