Irin Meyer was last seen during the day on 07/20/1979 either at her campsite in Harris Beach State Park or at McKay's Market in Brookings. Her tent containing belongings and her cat were located in the park by park staff when she failed to check out of the park. Her vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot of Whaleshead Beach State Park about 5 miles north of Brookings on 07/29. Investigation failed to produce any significant leads that would explain what happened to Irin.
