Dennis Boyd was last seen in Columbia County, Ga, near Augusta on or about May 5, 2012. May 12, 2012, Transylvania County, NC deputies located Boyd's car abandoned off Route 215 near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sheriff's deputies, U.S. Forest Service crews and local firefighters fanned out in the dense forest near where Boyd's car was found, but did not find him.
