On January 06, 2003, Kimberly Varela was reported missing by her mother who had not been in contact with Kimberly since September of 2002 when Varela and her boyfriend visited her mother in Las Vegas, Nv. On January 01, 2003 the residence of Valera's boyfriend was foreclosed. While the property owner was cleaning the residence bullet holes were located inside the residence. The residence was searched and no physical evidence could be found. Valera's boyfriend was questioned on January 07, 2003 regarding the disappearance. The residence that they shared is located 30 miles east of Kingman. Az. The boyfriend advised the last time he had seen Varela was in August of 2002. He left the residence to go into Kingman when he returned Varela was gone. This did not concern him as she had a history of leaving and would return a short time later. A canvas of neighborhood did not provide any leads.
