According to video surveillance: On 5/25/2024 at 0557 hours, Edward Fredrickson parked his vehicle in a gravel parking lot near 200 N. Ross Street in the Empire area of Coos Bay. Mr. Fredrickson exited his vehicle alone, walked around a fence, and headed out across an open grassy field owned by Sause Bros. He walked in a northerly direction towards the water's edge/shoreline at low tide. (At this point, Mr. Fredrickson disappeared from camera view) It is likely that Mr. Fredrickson walked the shoreline in a north-easterly direction towards the North Bend Airport. It is unknown what happened once he got to the shoreline. Search and Rescue covered the ground in the area along with Coast Guard fly-overs and boat patrols. It is feared that Mr. Fredrickson went into the water.
