Kaylene was last seen on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her father's residence in Lakeside Arizona, getting into a vehicle with two male subjects. She stated that she was heading to the Phoenix Arizona area. One of the males interviewed stated that she returned with him to the area on Friday, May 21, 2010, but they got lost on a forest service road where they spent the night. He reported that the next morning, Saturday, May 22, 2010 they got separated while trying to find a way out of the forest and he never saw her again.
