Left his place of employment mid afternoon for lunch on October 29, 1969. His car was found abandoned in a parking lot in Traverse City Michigan 3 days later, doors unlocked, keys in ignition, cigarettes left on dashboard. Declared legally dead in 1976. Took nothing but the clothes on his back.
