Sherrill was last heard from at 11:15pm on 6/6/92 when she talked with a friend on the phone. Sherrill, her daughter Suzanne Streeter (NamUs MP #3233), and her daughter's friend, Stacy McCall (NamUs MP #350) disappeared from Sherrill's home in Springfield, MO on 6/7/92 sometime between 2:15am and 7:30am after Streeter and McCall returned from a high school graduation party. There were no signs of a struggle at the residence. It appears that the ladies were "captured." All of the ladies' personal belongings (clothes, jewelry, money, purses, vehicles, keys, dog) were left at the Levitt residence.
