On 04/12/2022 the reporting party received a call from an unknown private number and the caller advised that he was a relative to one of the individuals that was walking with Teresa while they were crossing the border. The caller then passed the phone over to the individual. This individual further explained that Teresa was left behind by the group on 04/07/2022 in the desert near a town called Sentinel in Maricopa County, Arizona. The group left Teresa behind because she refused to walk any further because her feet were hurting. The group made it to a gas station in Sentinel, Arizona and used a payphone to call their relatives to let them know where they made it to. This individual then stated that the group leader attempted to go back and search for Teresa but was unable to locate her.
