Grant went missing in the Ocracoke Inlet between Portsmouth and Ocracoke Island on 10/09/2021. Grant was boating with two other subjects on 10/09/2021 who were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard and National Park Service following a capsized boat in bad weather. Grant is still presumed lost at sea and the search has since been suspended.
