Gretchen Olsten was last seen on March 28, 1987, by neighbors at an Oak Run ranch, where she had been staying with her boyfriend. The neighbors told police her boyfriend had stated she became angry with him during the night and "went away". Gretchen's personal items, including papers and her two dogs, were found at the trailer she and her boyfriend had been living in, six miles north of Oak Run near Oak Run and Bullskin Ridge Roads. Gretchen's car was found at a neighbor's home, located 3 miles away. Personal items were also located inside the car.
