In Dece Mrs. Nivens was reported to have packed her bags and left the family home in Etowah TN, in McMinn County around 0630 hours on 12/12/97. She left on her on own free will with an unknown subject who picked her up. It was reported that she returned briefly on 12/14/97 to get her vehicle. A few days later her vehicle was found abandoned at a gas station in Monroe County.
