Mendoza was last seen on Mother's Day 2019 (May 12, 2019) in Scipio, UT visiting his mother. Mendoza left and 5 minutes later, his phone was off. Mendoza was never seen again. His vehicle was recovered in October 2019 in the Owl Creek Draw near the Wind River Indian Reservation.
