On April 18th, 2023, Marathon County Deputies responded to a found Apple iPhone at the dead end of Ringle Ave. The phone was found to belong to Tara Jane Sullivan. Upon attempting contact with Tara at her home in Weston, officers noticed her garage door damaged, as if a car had driven through it. Nothing else in or around the home was disturbed or provided any information of Tara's whereabouts. Tara's white 2017 Buick Enclave was located on Old Hwy 29, south of State Highway 29 in Shawano County, approximately 30 miles east of her residence. The vehicle showed no signs of struggle, and the keys to the vehicle were left in the cupholder.
