Laura Macke was last known to be driving to Quinault, WA during a significant rainstorm with the intention of hiking to Enchanted Valley, located within Olympic National Park. Her park-issued wilderness permit had her camping at Pyrites Creek on 10/30 and exiting the backcountry on 10/31. However, she indicated that she would still be in the backcountry on 11/1 and that she planned to exit that same day and check-in with her boyfriend. Macke missed her scheduled check-in and her rental car was first noticed at the Graves Creek Trailhead on 11/1.
