Andrew was flying a blue and white Robinson R66 helicopter with tail number N1767 from Anchorage to Kodiak. He was reported overdue when he didn't arrive in Kodiak. The last radar hit was over the water near the Barren Islands. The United States Coast Guard conducted several searches and located a debris field in the Gulf of Alaska, about 65 miles northeast of Kodiak, however Andrew was never located.
