Scott went missing and is presumed to have drowned in a boating accident near Kizhuyak Bay on fishing vessel Sea Wolf. The vessel was spotted adrift with the lights and engine running outside Anton Larsen Bay. The USCG later spotted debris from the Sea Wolf in Kizhuyak Bay.
