Victim Gary Hoffman was last seen on August 19, 2019 when he parked his van on the side of the road near mile marker 20 of Kula Highway and walked off into the field heading down the mountain. There has been no contact or sightings since then and he failed to show up for a court appearance. There is no information to suggest Hoffman used commercial transportation means to leave Maui at this time.
