On June 26, 2019, McFadden's mother filed a Missing Person Report for her son Erik Tyquan McFadden. McFadden's mother advised she was made aware in 2014 that her son was involved in DaShad Smith's Missing Person Case. (MP18608). She also learned at that time that Erik had been missing since 2012. Denise advised Erik's father, has not contacted her about their son and has not responded to her attempts to contact him. Denise advised that she assumed that Erik's father had filed a missing person report at the time he went missing. Denise advised that she learned that this was not the case until June 13, 2019, when detectives came to speak to her in regards to Erik's relationship with DaShad Smith. Denise advised that she is scared that Erik may be dead and has been waiting for the police to contact her to tell her that. She requested that police take a missing person report for her son. She has not seen him since 2012. McFadden's stepmother and father advised they have not heard from him since 2012. McFadden's stepmother has also expressed concerns that he is dead.
