Victim entered the Yukon River at Buckeye Creek to show his friends he was a good swimmer. He was caught in the fast current and taken into deep water. He was swept 150 yards downstream and then disappeared under water. Attempts were made to reach him with a reach pole, but they were unsuccessful. Search efforts after three days were also unsuccessful.
