Walter Lawton

Walter Springer Lawton was visiting the Nescopeck Creek area when he went for a walk on June 7, 1978 and was never seen again. Following his disappearance, searches were conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police, the Civil Air Patrol, the Game Warden, and the Tobyhanna Army Reserve Barracks. Dogs followed Mr. Lawton's scent from his cabin to the railroad bridge overpass area of the road to Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; however, Mr. Lawton was not located. He has been declared legally deceased.
