Donald Butler and his wife were traveling in their vehicle, headed west from Irwin, Idaho when the vehicle crashed and entered the water. The vehicle was found submerged on 7/28/1979 with Mrs. Butler still buckled inside. It was discovered about 400 yards upstream from the South Fork Lodge, on the South Fork of the Snake River. Donald was not recovered.
