On 10/28/1990, Michelle Loran was reported as a missing person to the Kalama Police Department. On 4/16/1996, a human skull was discovered in unincorporated Kalama. The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office was able to identify the skull as belonging to Michelle Loran through dental records. The lower jaw and body are still missing and the case remains a homicide investigation.
