MP was last seen walking away from the home of a friend through a wooded area. MP was scheduled to testify against Bruce Day, 42, who was charged with attempted murder of Allen and his niece in October 2001. However, during the trial Allen went missing. Day was arrested was charged with Allen's murder in 2009, 8 years after he went missing, although his body has not been recovered. In March 2012 Day pleaded guilty to MPs murder.
